FirePoint Rocket Technology is building one of the most unique and strategically important industrial projects in Denmark - a new production facility for solid rocket propellant and advanced defense-tech components. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager who will act as the architect of our quality systems, ensuring that high product quality and safety are systematically guaranteed by design.

The Role

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO, AQAP, and regulatory requirements.

You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and act as a system-level quality partner to the CPO, HSE, and Engineering teams. While Quality Control verifies quality, you will define how quality is ensured, designing governance frameworks that do not rely on individual decisions or goodwill.

What You Will Do

1. QMS Ownership & System Architecture

• Design, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and AQAP requirements.

• Define and govern SOP structures, document control rules, and change management procedures.

• Ensure the QMS is scalable for future production volumes (2026+).

2. Compliance, Certification & Audits

• Own certification readiness and act as the primary interface with certification bodies and auditors.

• Plan and coordinate internal audits, external audits, and authority inspections.

• Ensure audit findings are translated into structured, tracked improvement actions.

3. Process Governance & Risk Prevention

• Identify and mitigate quality risks at the system level, including process design and segregation of duties.

• Collaborate with Engineering and IT to embed traceability rules and anti-manipulation safeguards directly into processes.

• Ensure lessons learned are institutionalized and not person-dependent.

4. Competence Management & Culture

• Define competence matrices for all roles in the organization.

• Work with HR to embed QA requirements into onboarding, training programs, and role changes.

• Ensure quality and safety awareness become part of every employee's baseline competence.

What We Are Looking For

You are a system thinker with a structured governance mindset and the ability to translate standards into practical company rules. You possess high integrity and the independence to escalate systemic risks directly to executive management.

Requirements:

• Education: Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar.

• Experience: 7-10+ years in Quality Assurance / QMS roles within defense, aerospace, chemical, or high-risk industrial manufacturing.

• Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with ISO-based systems and AQAP (or similar defense standards).

• Skills: Strong documentation discipline and the ability to manage complex audit landscapes.

• Scope Awareness: You understand that this role owns how quality is ensured at the system level, distinct from the daily testing and batch release duties of Quality Control.
