Process Automation & Data Integration Engineer
Build the digital foundation for Denmark’s most unique defense-tech project by connecting industrial equipment, ERP systems, and AI workflows into a unified data layer.
About FPRT
FirePoint Rocket Technology is building one of the most unique and strategically important industrial projects in Denmark - a new production facility for solid rocket propellant and advanced defense-tech components. Our ambition is significant: we are scaling from the early operational phase to 350+ employees within the next 18 months.
Joining us now means becoming part of the core team shaping a new high-tech, safety-critical production environment from the ground up. We are looking for a Process Automation & Data Integration Engineer who will act as our in-house integration layer, ensuring that data across all domains is accessible, reliable, and usable.
The Role
As the Process Automation & Data Integration Engineer, you are responsible for connecting systems, automating business and operational processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
This role is the technical foundation for our scalable digitalization and future MES integration. Instead of replacing core systems, you will focus on hands-on orchestration—linking production, equipment, finance, and HR through automation and AI-assisted workflows.
What You Will Do
1. Process Automation & Workflow Orchestration
Design, implement, and maintain automation workflows for administrative and operational processes such as invoice processing and HR workflows.
Combine low-code platforms (e.g., n8n, Power Automate) with custom Python or JavaScript scripting.
Ensure automation reliability through robust error handling, logging, and monitoring.
2. Data Integration & Lightweight ETL
Connect to enterprise systems (e.g., SAP) via APIs, OData, or direct database access.
Build and operate automated ETL pipelines to establish a unified data structure across all company functions.
Design and maintain internal SQL-based data models for both analytical and operational use.
3. BI & Equipment Data Integration
Build and maintain BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) that link operational data with business KPIs.
Implement data collection pipelines for production equipment, including furnaces, mixers, and process sensors.
Stream near real-time data into internal databases and implement basic alerting for operational deviations.
4. AI-Assisted Automation & Enablement
Implement AI-assisted workflows for document classification and intelligent routing.
Support the experimentation and gradual rollout of AI-based agents within business processes.
Act as the internal technical point of contact, translating business needs into technical solutions.
What We Offer
A rare career opportunity to build the technical foundation for one of Denmark's most unique industrial projects.
A role where your work directly enables advanced analytics and scalable digitalization.
A professional, international environment with a clear mission and purpose.
Top-of-market compensation for the right experience.
Brand-new factory & equipment.
Modern office with gym, sauna & social spaces
Real authority, Greenfield impact, Zero toxic culture, Mastery over busywork.
Work that protects freedom and life.
What We Are Looking For
You are a systems thinker with a high level of ownership and the ability to work independently across multiple domains. You have a strong attention to data accuracy and process reliability.
Requirements:
Core Skills: Solid SQL knowledge (data modeling, indexing, performance) and experience with scripting in Python or JavaScript.
Integration Experience: Hands-on experience building system integrations via APIs and maintaining ETL pipelines.
Tools: Proficiency with low-code/workflow platforms (n8n, Power Automate, etc.) and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus) or manufacturing environments.
Experience integrating equipment or telemetry data into IT systems.
Exposure to LLM-based workflows or AI-assisted automation.
