Senior Process Engineer
Design custom tools and automate production as our new Senior Process Engineer.
About FPRT
FirePoint Rocket Technology is building one of the most unique and strategically important industrial projects in Denmark - a new production facility for solid rocket propellant and advanced defense-tech components. Joining us now means becoming part of the core team shaping a new high-tech, safety-critical production environment from the ground up.
The Role
As the Senior Process Engineer, you will be crucial in ensuring the stability, safety, and continuous improvement of FPRT's production processes. This role combines engineering, optimization, and practical design to ensure every manufacturing stage—from material preparation and mixing to polymerization and final assembly - operates efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards.
You will report to the Chief Production Officer (CPO).
What You Will Do
1. Process Documentation & Standardization
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all process steps, including mixing, polymerization, demolding, assembly, and testing.
Observe real operations and translate them into clear, standardized, and safe work instructions.
Ensure documentation aligns with HSE, ISO 9001, and defense manufacturing standards.
2. Process Optimization & Efficiency
Analyze production workflows to identify manual or inefficient operations.
Propose, design, or support the creation of mechanical tools, fixtures, or automated solutions that boost productivity and safety.
Evaluate how existing machines and equipment are utilized; recommend modifications or redesigns for better efficiency.
Apply Lean and PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) principles to reduce waste, rework, and downtime.
3. Equipment & Technical Design Support
Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering on the development and fabrication of custom in-house equipment (e.g., mixing accessories, molds, handling systems, transport carts, fixtures).
Prepare basic technical sketches or 3D models for small mechanical improvements or automation concepts.
Support the setup, validation, and calibration of new or modified tools and machinery.
4. Process Monitoring & Validation
Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, vacuum, timing) and ensure compliance with defined limits.
Collect and analyze process data to detect trends, variations, or potential improvements.
Support validation and certification activities under CPO supervision.
What We Offer
A challenging role where you act as an in-house constructor-technologist by designing custom tools, jigs, trolleys, and mechanical aids that cannot be sourced externally.
An opportunity to directly impact the safety and efficiency of a unique industrial and defense-tech project in Denmark.
A collaborative professional environment where you will work closely with Chemical Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and HSE teams.
Top-of-market compensation for the right experience.
What We Are Looking For
You are an individual with an analytical mindset, creativity, and hands-on problem-solving ability, driven by a safety- and quality-focused attitude.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Process, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in process or production engineering in manufacturing, preferably defense, aerospace, or chemical.
Expertise:
Strong understanding of mechanical design, ergonomics, and process optimization.
Experience in documenting and validating processes and equipment.
Basic CAD or 3D modeling skills (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
Knowledge of HSE and ISO 9001 standards.
