FirePoint Rocket Technology is building one of the most unique and strategically important industrial projects in Denmark - a new production facility for solid rocket propellant and advanced defense-tech components. Our ambition is significant: we are scaling from the early operational phase to 350+ employees within the next 18 months. Joining us now means becoming part of the core team shaping a new high-tech, safety-critical production environment from the ground up.

We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will build and run the integrated, reliable backbone for all production operations.

The Role

As the Chief Operating Officer, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and ensure that all operational systems - infrastructure, logistics, safety, compliance, and resources - function seamlessly. Your mission is to create operational stability, enabling the Chief Production Officer (CPO) and production teams to work safely, predictably, and efficiently.

This role is paramount for bridging strategic oversight and daily execution, connecting Supply Chain, Facility Management, Utilities & Energy, HSE, Legal, and Finance into a single operational ecosystem.

What You Will Do

1. Operational System Integration & Governance

• Lead and synchronize all enabling functions, including Supply Chain, Facilities, HSE, Legal, and Finance.

• Integrate ERP, MES, and Finance systems to achieve real-time operational transparency.

• Build and document governance processes for operations, risk, and decision-making.

2. Supply Chain & Site Operations

• Oversee procurement, logistics, warehousing, and material readiness, ensuring full compliance with defense export/import laws.

• Supervise Facility, Utilities & Energy, and Administrative Services teams, ensuring continuous operation of critical systems (electricity, gas, HVAC, water).

• Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets for infrastructure maintenance and expansion.

3. Safety, Compliance & IT

• Ensure full compliance with ISO 45001, AQAP, and Danish/EU safety regulations, cultivating a zero-incident culture.

• Coordinate with Legal on supplier contracts, insurance, and regulatory compliance, and support Finance in budgeting and cost control.

• Oversee the IT & Automation Manager, guaranteeing stable, secure operation of IT systems and driving digital transformation initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

You are a highly structured, system-thinking, and safety-conscious leader with the proven ability to integrate multi-functional operational systems.

Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Industrial Management.

Experience: 

• 10+ years in operations or plant management, including infrastructure, logistics, and HSE.

• Proven experience integrating multi-functional operational systems.

• Advanced understanding of ERP, MES, and ISO frameworks.

• Strong financial and compliance understanding.

• Experience in defense, aerospace, oil, or chemical manufacturing is preferred.
