About FPRT
FirePoint Rocket Technology is building one of the most unique and strategically important industrial projects in Denmark - a new production facility for solid rocket propellant and advanced defense-tech components. Our ambition is significant: we are scaling from the early operational phase to 350+ employees within the next 18 months.
Joining us now means becoming part of the core team shaping a new high-tech, safety-critical production environment from the ground up. We are looking for a Procurement Manager who ensures the timely, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing of all materials, equipment, and services required for production and facility operations.
The Role
As the Procurement Manager, you will be the central link connecting production, planning, and finance, ensuring that procurement supports both operational continuity and strategic growth. You will be responsible for building and managing supplier relationships while ensuring full transparency and compliance with company, export control, and environmental regulations.
You will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager and maintain functional collaboration with the COO, Chief Chemist, and Head of Process Technology. This role is paramount for ensuring that all sourced materials meet the safety, quality, and reliability standards of a defense-related chemical manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
1. Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management
Develop and implement the company's procurement strategy aligned with production and project timelines.
Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for raw materials, components, and technical services.
Maintain approved supplier lists and qualification documentation in line with defense-industry and ISO standards.
Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts and service agreements, defining clear KPIs and SLAs.
2. Operational Procurement & Cost Control
Manage the end-to-end purchasing process from RFQs and price negotiations to PO issuance and delivery.
Ensure on-time material availability for production and maintenance activities.
Negotiate best commercial terms and identify cost-reduction opportunities without compromising safety or quality.
Support budgeting and cost forecasting, managing both CAPEX and OPEX procurement pipelines.
3. Compliance & Cross-functional Coordination
Ensure all procurement activities comply with export control, safety, and environmental regulations like REACH.
Maintain complete traceability of all purchase documentation, including supplier certifications and safety data sheets.
Collaborate with Chemical and Process Engineering teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications.
Support HSE in verifying supplier compliance with safety standards.
What We Offer
A rare career opportunity to lead the procurement function for one of Denmark's most unique industrial and defense-tech projects.
A professional, international environment with a clear mission and purpose.
Top-of-market compensation for the right experience.
Brand-new factory & equipment.
Modern office with gym, sauna & social spaces.
Real authority, Greenfield impact, Zero toxic culture, Mastery over busywork.
Work that protects freedom and life.
What We Are Looking For
You are a solution-oriented, pragmatic, and highly structured leader with a high sense of integrity and ethical standards.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering
Experience: 7+ years in industrial or manufacturing procurement, ideally in chemical, defense, or aerospace sectors.
Expertise: Strong experience with technical materials sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
Systems & Compliance: Understanding of export control, REACH, and ISO 9001/AQAP compliance, with proficiency in ERP modules.
Communication: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to communicate confidently with both engineers and executives.
Recruitment process and timeline
We are currently building our Danish organization from the ground up. Because we are establishing a new defense-tech production facility, the final regulatory and technical approvals take time.
Therefore, the recruitment process for this position will extend over the next 2-3 months.
What this means for you: We are leaving the job post open and reviewing applications on an ongoing basis. We will reach out to relevant candidates continuously for initial talks, but the final hiring decisions and start dates will be locked in once the facility approvals are fully in place.
We encourage you to apply now if you want to be part of the core team from the very beginning.
